Safetynet Gets Four Disaster Recovery Sites After Buying SHL Business Unit

LONDON--Safetynet has acquired the disaster recovery business of SHL Systemhouse for an undisclosed sum--a move that is in keeping with SHL's two-year-old effort to refocus itself on its core businesses.
The sale to Safetynet had been delayed because of the once pending and now failed merger between SHL's parent company MCI Communications and British Telecom (BT).
The disaster recovery business "did not fit in with [SHL's] global strategy," explains Jonas Hjerpe, marketing manager at SHL. London
