 One of the most evocative names in the middleware business has disappeared under its parent company’s hubris. Mint is a name that depicts a cool color, a refreshing taste or even a place where lovely, shiny new coins are produced. Parent company Sungard decided to give it a less musical but more corporately correct name--Sungard Business Integration. Kind of grates on the ears. Plus, Sungard can’t make any more plays on words, like "Mint condition." Hopefully, Sungard can still "make a Mint". I
