Bridge Files for Chapter 11, but What Will They Sell, and Who Will Buy It?

NEW YORK--Bridge Information Systems filed a Chapter 11 petition late last week. The move puts all of Bridge's assets on the table, but it is likely to spook Bridge's already-tender client base, reducing the attractiveness of the very package it is trying to sell.

The filing allows Bridge to continue operations while it looks for outside investment in the company and finalizes reorganization plan to reduce outstanding debt. According to a Bridge press release, Bridge's largest shareholder, Welsh
