Sungard Sets Out Plans for Guardian
DISASTER RECOVERY
LONDON--Sungard Availability Solutions will soon embark on a project to integrate troubled UK disaster recovery provider Guardian IT into its business, provided of course that its proposed buyout of Guardian is approved by the UK Office of Fair Trading (OFT).
The OFT has extended the consideration period for the proposed buyout of Guardian IT by Sungard until June 19 to pass on its findings to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry Patricia Hewitt.
