Micrognosis Wins The Fed, An FD Prospect Since '91

After years of deliberating, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York has selected what is now known as Micrognosis Inc.'s MIPS digital data distribution system to support its 42 foreign exchange and government securities traders. But the Fed's decision is no great coup for Micrognosis: the bank had been negotiating with the former FD Consulting Inc. about its market data platform since 1991.

Officials at the Fed decline to comment or could not be reached. But other sources say that the bank will go
