Optimark Gets $100M From Softbank, All Roads Lead To IPO, Sources Say

NEW YORK--Optimark Technologies Inc.'s pockets just got refilled. Softbank Capital Partners LP has announced its intention to invest up to $100 million in the electronic trading system.

That cash infusion, sources say, will help Optimark fulfill its goal to go public. Although Optimark officials decline comment, sources close to the firm say Optimark definitely plans to IPO, possibly as early as next year. "It hasn't been calendared yet," says another source, but Optimark is absolutely planning
