Seven Firms Combine Forces To Create A Forum To Further Java Development

LONDON--Seven systems providers with a focus on the financial marketplace launched in London late last month a Java consortium aimed at establishing a forum for customers, vendors and integrators who want to develop Java object technology for financial applications.

Dubbed the Java and Object Technologies for the Finance Community (JOFF), the consortium will have a focus on the UK market and hopes to start attracting user firms by the beginning of next year.
