B-Trade Uses Mix of NT And Stratus FT For Tradebook Clearance And Settlements

The B-Trade Services subsidiary of ESI Securities will be using a unique combination of fault tolerance and Microsoft Windows NT Server to do the executions, settlements and clearances for Bloomberg's Tradebook users, say sources at ESI.

Created by ESI Holding (parent of ESI Securities) and Bloomberg Financial Markets, B-Trade recently installed two Stratus machines--one based on Stratus' proprietary VOS operating system and another running NT. The NT system is one of Stratus' new Intel Pentium
