Vociferous objections to the NatWest takeover proposed by Bank of Scotland (BoS) have brought information technology into the public domain. NatWest's IT director, Achi Racov, even threatened to resign if the takeover by BoS went ahead, largely because BoS wants to replace NatWest's applications software with BoS' equivalents or the yet-to-be-rolled-out BankWest system.
