NASD To Offer Morning Trading In OTC And Listed Stocks

EXCHANGES AND REGULATORS

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) granted approval of a two-year pilot of the National Association of Securities Dealers' (NASD) proposed early morning session. The new session -- NASDAQ International -- is an attempt to recapture some of the trading in U.S. equities that has moved to London.

NASDAQ International is scheduled to begin in January, some 15 months later than originally planned. The introduction of the service was delayed by SEC objections to the U.K.-style trade-reporting
