With its 1585 Broadway trading room relocation project now comfortably behind it, Morgan Stanley & Co. is ready to crow a little. And with good reason: In just over two years' time, the firm managed to spec out, equip and begin doing business in a brand-new headquarters building--a site which incorporates a five-floor, 1,400-position trading facility. The total relocation cost was $500 million, including real estate; information technology expenses associated with the move ran to $100 million
