NEW CBOT INITIATIVES

The board of directors of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced several new initiatives that it plans on adopting in its move toward demutualization. The first board recommendation was the approval of agricultural products trading during all hours that the a/c/e platform (Alliance/ CBOT/Eurex) is in operation. The second calls for a reduction of the size of the board of directors from 25 to 16 along with a shrinking of the nominating committee from seven to five members
