Globex Partners Postpone Startup, Citing CBOT Talks, Tests; CME Mulls Extending Hours

The launch date for Globex, the proposed electronic futures-trading system sponsored by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), the Marche a Terme International de France (MATIF) and Reuters Holdings PLC, has been postponed until the first quarter of 1991. The system, whose startup has been delayed several times, most recently had been slated for November rollout.

Meanwhile, an official at the CME, prime mover behind the system, says the exchange is discussing
