Middleware Working Group Will Focus On Industry-Specific Benchmarks In '99

NEW YORK--For next year, the Wall Street Middleware Working Group will be focusing a great deal of its efforts on developing middleware benchmarking standards for pricing, order management, clearing and position-keeping applications, says a source familiar with the situation.

The invitation-only Working Group met last Tuesday, October 13, in New York in a session closed to the public. About 40 people were in attendance, says the source.

The benchmarking effort will lead to the creation of ad hoc
