Financial Services Projects Clipped, Tech Vendors Hurt

LONDON--Never in my memory has there been such a sharp decline in projects underway in such a short space of time. Last year, brokers were falling over themselves to recruit resources to work on projects and contractor rates were going through the roof. This year it is the opposite: contract jobs for senior project roles are advertised at £300 or £400 per day.

So for those in peril on the job-market, what sorts of projects are being undertaken at the moment and what can we look forward to?
