Nymex Selects British Telecom's OTS Platform To Deliver Market Data On New Trading Floor

When the New York Mercantile Exchange decided last September on all of the technologies it would deploy in its two new trading floors, it had no plans to use a digital data distribution platform (TST, October 14, 1996). That is now changed, with Nymex's selection of British Telecom's Open Trading System (OTS) to support its 1,400 members.

Nymex has not yet determined all of the data that will run over OTS, but it is certain to include information from the New York Stock Exchange, the Chicago
