Knight’s Third Quarter Profits Drop 27 Percent

EARNINGS REPORT

JERSEY CITY, N.J.--Knight Trading Group, one of the few remaining independent market makers, reported a 27 percent decline in pro forma net income in the third quarter of this year compared to the same period in 1999. However, revenues were up 22 percent to $199 million for the third quarter 2000 from last year’s $163 million.
