Lynn Rowland has been appointed chief information officer for financial markets at Royal Bank of Scotland (formerly the global financial markets role at acquired bank Natwest). Rowland replaces Nigel Walder, who went to Moneyline in July. Ian Thompson, also recently promoted at Royal Bank as global head of technology for financial markets, will report to Rowland. Thompson was previously head for interest rate technology at Natwest.
