SIA T+1 Subcommittee Says Trading Systems to Be Ready by June 2004

NEW YORK--The Securities Industry Association’s (SIA) T+1 Business Case Subcommittee has proposed that the US securities industry should have developed, and be ready to use, T+1-enabled trading systems by June 2004.

The subcommittee commissioned a study on perceived feasible times for systems development and readiness to reduce trade processing times from three days to one. It was undertaken by Andersen Consulting and The Capital Markets Co., which surveyed 56 institutional and retail firms.
