Telerate To Buy AT&T's Share In GTS; Culture Clash Cited

Telerate Inc.'s announcement this month that it plans to buy AT&T's 50% share in their Global Transactions Services Co. joint venture stemmed in part from a clash between corporate cultures. While insisting that the relationship was happy, Telerate, which views itself as a young, entrepreneurial company, now concedes that it had problems dealing with AT&T's many-layered bureaucracy.
