There's been a lot of fuss lately over transactional services, probably stirred up by the huzzah surrounding the launch of Optimark, the US equities trade order matching system. But one system that went live recently has attracted far less attention, and I'm not sure why.
Reuters Trading Room began operations late last year. The system is a transactional service for bonds. It allows dealers or market makers in various fixed-income securities to trade electronically with their customers.
