Sumitomo Bank Unit To Trade Fixed Income Using DEC, FD

Sumitomo Bank is planning to install 20 DEC Ultrix workstations to support traders at its new Sumitomo Securities Inc. fixed-income trading subsidiary, according to sources at the bank. The deal would be a coup for DEC on the hardware front, but sources say DEC lost out in its bid to supply its DECtrade digital feed and workstation platform to Sumitomo, which instead opted for FD Consulting Inc.'s MIPS system.

CME: CFTC OKs clearing move to Google Cloud

The CFTC has given the Chicago-based exchange approval to run its clearing and settlement infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform, while the exchange and vendor have extended their partnership to last until at least 2037.
