Union Dispute Delays Upgrade At CBA; Bridge/Telerate At Odds With Workers

SYDNEY--A Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) official confirms that the bank had to postpone a scheduled upgrade two weekends ago, due to a union dispute at Bridge/Telerate in Australia. Bridge/Telerate is a legally separate division of Bridge Information Systems.

Bridge/Telerate employees were set to begin upgrade work in CBA's Sydney and Melbourne trading rooms on October 3, which was the start of a three-day holiday weekend in Australia. However, the union, in its labour struggle with Bridge
