New Platforms, Exchanges Are Expected From Tullet & Tokyo, Nasdaq & CBOE

LONDON--Following fast on the heels of several fixed-income transaction systems announced recently, Tullett & Tokyo, Nasdaq and the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) had a flurry of announcements about new electronic trading platforms and exchanges.

Tullett & Tokyo has teamed up with Bloomberg to create an electronic trading system for foreign exchange forwards; the National Association of Securities Dealers (Nasdaq) has joined Softbank in Japan to launch an electronic exchange; and the CBOE
