Bank of Italy Mulls STP Options

ROME--Banca d’Italia, the Italian central bank, is considering systems from Trema and OpenLink Financial as replacements for its aging in-house processing system for the country’s currency and other asset reserves, say sources familiar with the situation.

Trema and OpenLink have emerged as front-runners to replace the bank’s existing in-house system, sources say. Officials at Banca d’Italia decline comment.

If chosen, the contract would be a coup for OpenLink, because Trema is already widely used
