Merrill Lynch, Putnam Team Up On FIX Protocol For Fixed Income

NEW YORK--Putnam Investments and Merrill Lynch have developed and are testing a FIX protocol for use in trading fixed income instruments. They hope to leverage its benefits for use on a fixed income trading platform in the near future that would have the potential to become an industry standard.
