SECPAC To Trade Options On RMJ, Telerate Screens

After numerous regulatory delays, Security Pacific Corp. is ready to launch an electronic system for trading over- the-counter options on government securities.

The Federal Reserve Board announced its approval of the options network August 5, but the banking bill recently signed by President Reagan appears to prohibit SecPac from operating such a market until March 1, 1988.

Nevertheless, the company is analyzing the legislation to see if screen-based trading for OTC Treasury options can be started
