HSBC Readies FX Platform Update

CONNECTIVITY

LONDON--HSBC will give FX and money markets clients a new Web browser front-end for its online trading system next month, eliminating the need for clients to download software to their PCs.

The new access will be via an HTML client, replacing third-party Java client-site trading GUI software that the bank had only given a limited rollout. The HTML front-end will be offered in conjunction with digital signature technology to bolster security.
