NEW YORK--SunGard has created the SunGard Global Network (SGN), a managed network that synchronizes the assets of its burgeoning Availability Services business continuity division with its existing SunGard Transaction Network (STN) for trading.
SunGard, through acquisition of Comdisco and Guardian IT and negotiations with numerous telecoms, has grown its Availability Solutions business to three million square feet of disaster-recovery space and a 25,000-mile leased optical backbone extending
