Plan To Establish Nasdaq On The Pacific Rim

DUBLIN--Nasdaq and the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) have made an agreement to co-list on each other's boards. And not far from the horizon is a plan to form Nasdaq Japan.

The agreement with the ASX should be finalized next year. The listing swap will also allow firms on both exchanges to raise money in Australia and the United States.

The Nasdaq-ASX tie up followed the formations last June of an alliance to support future co-trading and the joint development of trading technology for future
