Thailand’s First On-line FX Operation Goes Live
ON-LINE TRADING SYSTEMS
BANGKOK--Thailand’s first online FX operation went live last week at Bangkok-based Bank of Ayudhya (BAY), where FNX’s Sierra system is being used to link the operation to its corporate customers on-line. The electronic system replaces the bank’s manual-entry FX system, introducing an automated processing environment.
BAY is using Sierra to trade spot FX, forwards and swaps, says Ying-Yong Athifikul, treasury manager at BAY in Bangkok. The on-line operation, according to Athifikul, took around two
