Bridge Lures Steinmetz From Barclays For Senior European Management Team

LONDON--Bridge Information Systems has named Chip Steinmetz as managing director for UK and Ireland effective November 15, filling a long vacant gap in its senior management team for Europe.
A well known IT chief, Steinmetz is joining Bridge from Barclays Capital Group, where he was head of IT globally. He was named managing director and global head of IT at Barclays in the spring of last year (TTW, April 6, 1998). Barclays Capital Group is the investment banking division of Barclays Bank.
