Cargill Trades Commodities Using OS/2-Based Prophet

Commodities firm Cargill Inc. of Minnetonka, Minn., is piloting an OS/2-based local data distribution platform developed by Financial Information Management Inc. (FIMI) of Eden Prairie, Minn. Depending on the results of the pilots, Cargill officials claim the system -- known as Prophet -- could eventually be rolled out to as many as 1,000 traders worldwide.
