Microsoft is developing special font software, dubbed Cleartype, for flat panel screens that is supposed to make typefaces more readable. The software, not officially available, can be used for the full range of systems that require flat panels, from small, mobile devices to high-powered desktops. Officials from the software giant say that Cleartype can greatly improve readability because it is highly flexible in the display of letters. There's no word yet from Microsoft on pricing or product
