Guardian Deal Will Boost Sungard’s Disaster Recovery Service

LONDON--Sungard Data Systems' purchase of Guardian IT, the financially troubled disaster recovery (DR) company, will prove a good fit with Sungard Availability Services and its recently acquired DR vendor Comdisco, according to Keith Tilley, managing director of Sungard Availability Services, Europe.
"It's very complementary; there's not that much overlap," says Tilley, who was managing director of Comdisco Availability Services when Sungard bought the company late last year (TTW, Nov. 19, 2001)
