More Open Bloomberg Tech Specs Emerge

Since the introduction of the "Open Bloomberg" last month (TST, Sept. 18), further details have emerged concerning the technology required to implement the system and the platforms it will be available on.

The Open Bloomberg is a software emulation of the traditional Bloomberg 2 standalone terminal that allows users to display Bloomberg data and analytics on their own hardware platforms. Initially, the vendor said that it would be available for IBM-compatible PCs running Microsoft Corp. Windows
