JPMC’s NYSE Brokers Use FIX Handhelds

NEW YORK—JP Morgan Chase’s (JPMC) floor brokers at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) went live on July 7 with Micro Design Services’ (MDS) handheld trading devices, connecting to the NYSE Common Access Point (CAP) via the FIX protocol, say officials who confirmed the rollout last week.

Using Casio Casiopeia handhelds, historically the NYSE wireless standard, JPMC brokers now perform electronically what was once a paper-based process, says Lisa DeLuca, product manager at Parsippany, N.J.-based
