Brut Absorbs Strike In The Last Act Of ECN Merger

Was it the technology…or the order flow? ECN Strike, widely believed to have superior Internet-based technology only a year ago, has taken a back seat to Brut, whose technology will be used to drive the new ECN. Brut has about four times as many subscribers--300 to Strike’s 65--and a significant advantage because it uses the over-the-counter order management system run by BRASS utility. Brut president Brian Hyndman says he hopes to convert the remaining Strike customers by the end of this month
