TOKYO--Less than 60 days after its full-scale launch, E-Bond Securities has closed up shop.

The online fixed income joint venture from Lehman Brothers and Softbank Corp. was established in October 1999 to develop an electronic venue for the trading of Japanese municipal bonds, bank debentures and corporate debentures.
