AMEX May Use SITUS In Plan To Trade Unregistered ADRS

The American Stock Exchange (AMEX) has its sights set on the over-the-counter (OTC) market for unregistered American Depositary Receipts (ADRs). In a loosely worded announcement last week, the AMEX stated that it would "aggressively pursue the trading of unregistered foreign securities now trading as ADRs in the OTC Electronic Bulletin Board or 'Pink Sheet.'"

The Pink Sheet is a hard copy ADR pricing service published by National Quotations Bureau Inc.; the National Association of Securities
