Knight-Ridder's Hong Kong chief, Jim Kranz, has resigned. Kranz is a five-year veteran of Knight-Ridder who most recently headed up the vendor's Hong Kong Macau operation, a job he has held since 1994. He will be leaving next month to take a job in San Francisco as vice president of sales at Bondview, a newly formed division of Data Broadcasting Corp.'s Capital Management Sciences. Knight-Ridder is currently seeking a replacement for Kranz.
