SUN DEBUTS N1, BLADE SERVERS, LOWERS PRICES

Sun Microsystems announced advancements to its "N1" network computing strategy last week, including the new Sun Fire Blade Server platform and multiple enterprise-class servers at "value" prices, responding to customers asking for lower costs of operation and acquisition. N1 virtualizes widely distributed network computing resources and elements (servers, storage, software and networking), and enables them to operate as a single, powerful network
