Insider hears that Nomura chief Geoff Doubleday may have recently signed up for forklift driving lessons. The bank, now up and running with the Tibco Transaction Express middleware, has decided to rid itself of its IBM mainframes. The Big Blue systems are to be hauled out of Nomura's London office, any day now. Word has it Doubleday may be persuaded to do some of the heavy lifting himself, seeing as IBM may not be around to help them out.
