BT Syntegra Buys Control Data For $340M

MINNEAPOLIS--With BT Syntegra's acquisition of Control Data Systems for $340 million last week, the systems integration business of British Telecom will be able to quickly expand its offerings to trading room IT managers.

The deal will allow BT Syntegra to offer outsourcing services for the increasingly complex intranets that support trading environments, says John Priestley, director, commercial operations, for BT Syntegra. "We've suddenly got a whole new range of capabilities," Priestley says
