At Forex '95 In Osaka, New Products Prove Less Amazing Than The Bar Bills

No doubt about it. At the Association Cambiste Internationale's annual forex congress held two weeks ago in Osaka, you could easily spend more on drinks in one night than a Reuter Terminal would cost you in a month. And some did.

But whether people were frightened away by the yen's appreciation or by Osaka's distance from most of the world's major dealing centres, attendance was way down at Forex '95, with around half the number of exhibitors and just over two-thirds the number of delegates
