As the industry becomes more electronic, the sell side has to extend itself in new ways to an ever-capricious buy side. Sell-side firms are creating alternative trading systems (ATSes), white-labeling access to transaction platforms, offering thin-client entrees to their information, and, in general, making it very easy for the buy
