NEW YORK--Nasdaq has many important irons in the fire beyond rethinking its front-end strategy, a move that could potentially put it in competition with its order management/order routing suppliers.

Among the other items on its agenda, Nasdaq is continuing conversations about building links to the Archipelago Exchange, and has decided not to put forth a bid to purchase the Cincinnati Stock Exchange (CSE).

Nasdaq is walking the competitor/collaborator line with Archipelago.
