ASE And EOE Merge; Operations Combined, Single Feed Likely

As of January 1, the Amsterdam-based European Options Exchange (EOE) and the Amsterdam Stock Exchange were merged--forming a new public company called Amsterdam Exchanges (AEX). The exchanges' two market data operations have been consolidated under the EOE's market data services manager Mark van Vugt, into an entity called AEX Market Data Services.

In anticipation of the merger, van Vugt has been acting as the de facto manager of market data for both of the exchanges since September of last year
