Bloomberg Targets Analysts; Adds Data License Front-End
NEW PRODUCTS
NEW YORK--Bloomberg is in beta tests with its tentatively named Bloomberg World Securities Database, a sophisticated search and analytical front-end to its Data License product. Bloomberg intends to release this new service before the end of the year and seems to be targeting the research departments of many of its customers, which haven't been traditional users of Bloomberg's real-time services. As such, the system will compete with FactSet, which has long dominated this market.
