Application service provider Tradinglinx.com has appointed Stephen Ficara and Joel Gallo as vice president and director, respectively. Ficara, who was most recently vice president for global capital market operations at Deutsche Bank, will lead Tradinglinx.com’s operations team and sell-side relationships. Gallo, who worked for seven years at Scudder Kemper Investments and was most recently vice president of investment administration and technology, will manage buy-side relationships.
Trevor Beach has been appointed to the board at Valuelink Information Services, a UK-based provider of financial data and validation services. As operations director Beach continues his responsibilities for the company’s operations and IT functions. Valuelink has also appointed Pat Percival as its new business manager. Percival previously worked in the company’s data control and client administration sections.
Pan-European bond trading platform Bondclick has appointed Andrew Rowland as chief technology officer. Rowland has 11 years experience in IT systems development, having worked at Barclays Capital, Natwest Markets and UBS. At Barclays he was responsible for foreign exchange e-commerce development, supervising the development of a web-based FX pricing, execution and management system.
Emetra, the non-ferrous metals and derivatives trading platform, has appointed Hanns Beese as chief operating officer and Ralf Herklotz as chief technology officer. Both report to chief executive officer Peter Sellars. Beese was previously director of risk management at MG--an Emetra joint venture partner--and Herklotz was managing director of strategic systems development at Liffe. Before Liffe, Herklotz worked as an independent consultant for business-to-business exchange transaction systems.
The Pacific Exchange named David Rutledge executive vice president of options marketing, Maurice Caracter vice president of applications development and technology services, and Richard Silva vice president of internal audit. Rutledge was formerly senior vice president of market development at the New York Board of Trade; Caracter was most recently vice president of IT applications at Banc of America Securities; and Silva previously senior vice president and group manager of information technology and Bank of America.
Currenex added three directors to its board. They are William Hambrecht, founder and chairman of WR Hambrecht; Michael Lehman, vice president of corporate resources, chief financial officer and corporate executive officer of Sun Microsystems; and Carlos Monfiglio, vice president of THLi (TH Lee Putnam Internet Partners).
